Jeffrey Burr, Esq.
Co-Founder | Principal
Since 1983, Jeffrey Burr has owned and operated his own successful law practice providing estate planning, business planning, probate, and trust administration solutions to families throughout Southern Nevada. After much prodding, in 2002 he finally persuaded Ron Leavitt to leave his position as Vice President at Morgan Stanley so that together they could establish their own independent investment advisory firm, Capstone Capital.
While Jeff is not personally involved in the day-to-day operations of Capstone Capital, he is a valuable resource to the company and continually contributes to its progress. His wisdom and experience greatly enhance the overall strategy and culture of the firm.
Jeff has been recognized as one of the top tax and estate planning attorneys in Nevada. His personal client list contains many of the most prominent families in Southern Nevada. Under Jeff’s leadership the firm has received the highest and most prestigious rating of “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell.
Jeff was named by his peers as one of the top estate planning attorneys in Southern Nevada in every edition of Best Lawyers in America. Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant, having previously worked as a tax accountant with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche. Jeff has also been a faculty member for the University of Miami School of Law, Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
Jeff obtained a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and later his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979.
